echnical characteristics<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Series 3000-S boxes are suitable for containing terminals for junction systems. They must be installed according to the instructions of standards EN 60079-14 and EN 50281-1-2.<\/p>\n

MATERIAL.\u00a0<\/strong>Box and cover are manufactured in stainless steel quality AISI-304 or AISI-316\/316L, with 1.5 or 2 mm. plate thickness according to different sizes.<\/p>\n

SURFACE FINISH.\u00a0<\/strong>This material does not need any protection treatment due to its technical features. It has a satin finish.<\/p>\n

CLOSURE.\u00a0<\/strong>By means of stainless steel captive flush screws with a nylon washer, that ensures a perfect closure and avoids manipulation with tools different to those specifically made to tighten them.<\/p>\n

WATERTIGHTNESS.\u00a0<\/strong>A neoprene gasket inserted in the box edge provides the box with a degree of protection of IP-65, according to UNE 20324, CEI 529 and EN 60529.<\/p>\n

FIXING.\u00a0<\/strong>Wall mounting by means of lugs welded to the bottom, with grooves that allow to fix the box.<\/p>\n

MOUNTING PLATE AND TERMINALS.\u00a0<\/strong>The box has inside and at the bottom thickness parts to fix the mounting plate on with screws without external drilling. Active or earth terminals will go mounted onto the mounting plate, always by APLEI, S.A.. These terminals have certificate of component according to Directive 94\/9\/EC. The correspondent charts of each box type indicate the maximum number of terminals by section. However, depending on the different sizes and shapes of terminals from different manufacturers, in some cases this number will be lower or even it will be not possible its assembling into the enclosure indicated by the correspondent chart. The terminal having the lowest voltage determines the highest voltage permitted in the enclosure, up to a maximum of 750V.<\/p>\n

GROUND CONNECTION.\u00a0<\/strong>The enclosures have an external connection and an internal connection consisting of one screw with nut each, both in stainless steel. It allows the joining of a mass equipotential conductor of 35 mm2.<\/p>\n

ENTRIES.\u00a0<\/strong>Due to the thickness wall box, it is not allowed to make threads on the drills. Cable entries to be used must be cylindrical mounted using a gum joint and a lock nut to guarantee waterproofness.<\/p>\n

TEMPERATURE CLASS:\u00a0<\/strong>T6. Using standardised terminals and under normal operating conditions the temperature reached in the external surface of the enclosure is always under 85\u00baC.<\/p>\n

IP-67 protection grade can be supplied on request.<\/em><\/p>\n
